Dr. Mark Holterman is a Pediatrician out of Chicago, Illinois. Among many other duties involving medicine he is currently a professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His research specialties include such things as, Immune Regulation, T Cell Biology and Regulatory T Cell.
Mark Holterman received a B.A. in biology from Yale. He then went on to get his medical degree of philosophy in immunology from the University of Virginia. He completed his residency at University Health Sciences and did his pediatric surgery fellowship at University of Washington Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.
The pediatrician holds a medical license in Illinois. He is board certified in Pediatric and General Surgery. He has also been on staff at Advocate Christ Children’s Hospital Surgeon-in-Chief. He does practice at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Dr. Holterman also manages Mariam Global Health, located in Chicago. This company is all about education and innovations. His knowledge is shared among students and medical residents whenever possible.
The physician not only teaches and practices, but he is also contributes to the International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam (IPSAC-VN) to help save children’s lives. His personal interest in Vietnam stems from his wife’s childhood country, and between the both of them they have made it a mission to help as much as possible to underprivileged children.
Due to his wide range of knowledge in the pediatric field, the doctor is known to write scientific articles and helps review medical journals. He travels across the country doing medical lectures to his peers and others.
Even though Dr. Holterman has a very busy medical career he maintains two medical offices in Illinois. The doctor holds his status with the American Academy of Pediatrics and with the American College of Surgeons.
