It was only on the PC side. I'd tried installing updates to Windows and Boot Camp, and no luck. Tried everything I saw on sites, and nada. But once I unplugged the mouse from the keyboard and went straight into the comp, and it worked fine but the keyboard kept dying still, that was it. I think it's just the USB ports in the keyboard - they're not USB 2.0, so they can't be counted on to provide constant power to much of anything (I had cameras that couldn't even mount in USB mode on them).
